Joe has a very fascinating and diverse background that provides him with a wealth of experience in the club and hospitality industry. Though he spent a majority of his career working for WCI Communities, a Florida based housing developer, his time in the service industry dates back to high school when he started parking cars at some of the finest restaurants and country clubs in Chicago.

WCI’s primary business was developing high-end, amenity-rich, master-planned communities centered on golf, dining and active lifestyles. Joe has had the privilege of working at some of the most exclusive communities on the west coast and east coast of South Florida. During Joe’s tenure with WCI, he was directly responsible for The Colony Golf & Bay Club, Westshore Yacht Club, Pelican Preserve Town Center, The Club at Pelican Preserve, Club LaMorada and Arborwood Preserve. He indirectly assisted with operations at Tuscany Reserve (now Talis Park), Parkland Golf & Country Club and Old Palm Golf Club.

At WCI, Joe operated within a very entrepreneurial environment. As a General Manager, he was very focused on cultivating a transparent and collaborative relationship with his Members and Residents as the clubs eventually turn over from the developer. Joe gained an immense amount of experience in amenity and club development, programming and construction, club and golf course renovations, employee development and retention, company culture, and various financial initiatives. Having worked for a publicly traded company, Joe was held accountable for ongoing financial performance for the operations he overlooked. WCI’s “boutique” structure allowed Joe to gain a large amount of knowledge in all areas of operations management and was very instrumental in shaping the company’s amenity business model and overall culture.

Joe has a strong background in food and beverage, and over time he held positions as Food and Beverage Director, Club Manager, Corporate Food and Beverage Director, General Manager and Regional General Manager. He achieved his personal goal of becoming a General Manager before the age of 30, at the age of 26. In addition, Joe is a licensed community association manager and served as president of two master associations.

In May of 2017, Joe was directly recruited by the CEO of Shell Point Retirement Community, the second largest continuing care retirement community in the country. Joe held the position of Senior Director of Hospitality overseeing all hospitality operations for this large 2500 resident community. Shell Point has a 50-year history and Joe was charged with enhancing the lifestyle for its 2,500 residents who enjoy 11 dining venues, a resident life/activities department, racquet sports, a 40-room hotel, marina, 18 hole golf course and onsite transportation—all of which where operated by nearly 400 employees under Joe’s leadership.

Joe has a proven track record of creating a strong partnership between club employees and club members. Joe is a passionate communicator and has a deep love for club culture, employee development, is an effective and transparent communicator, is able to think strategically, and make educated decisions focused on the best outcome for the entire club. He brings a high-energy leadership style, and is caring and adaptable to the personality of each member and employee. Joe’s sole belief is that the member experience begins with club leadership serving those who serve the members.

Joe has been married for 12 years to his wife, Jennifer, and they have a 6-year-old daughter, Emma. They enjoy the pool, beach and travel. Joe and his wife are both fitness enthusiasts and Joe’s interests outside of work are photography, music and art. He also enjoys writing on various topics, mainly leadership.

Jennifer is a South Florida native who studied accounting at Florida International University. She married Kyle in 1996 and they moved to Naples the day after they returned from their honeymoon. They have a 12 year old son, Colton, who plays football for the Naples Hurricanes and soccer for his school. She has been in the local country club industry for 6 years, prior to that she worked at a land development consulting firm. Jennifer is an active member of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals.
 
Her hobbies are fishing, boating, and enjoying the beautiful Naples waters and beaches.

Anthony Delphin has traveled a long intriguing road before coming to the U.S. His captivating journey began early in Paris. His cooking skills launched as a young man when he observed and learned to cook family meals. He continued his education in the French Capital which enhanced his bistro flair. He excelled through a wide-range of culinary training and graduated from Rabelais Culinary School.

After 10 years of extensive culinary experience, he decided to explore the sweet side of cooking! He opened a pastry shop in Paris. After 7 years Anthony made a big leap by moving his extensive flair for fine foods to Florida. He became an entrepreneur again by opening his own French Bakery/Bistro called BaraBread. His bakery was nominated by Gulf Coast Magazine as the “Best Bakery of 2007 in SW Florida.” To understand what a new clientele expected he became an Executive Pastry Chef at Pastry Art and was nominated as the “Best Pastry Shop” in 2009 by SRQ Magazine. In the spring of 2009, be became an Entrepreneur by opening his own restaurant, “Paris to Budapest.”

He began working at Countryside in the summer of 2010. In the years Anthony has been here, he has proven to offer a wealth of knowledge in providing exceptional dining experiences for Club-wide events and private parties. He looks forward to his continued stay and is excited to lead our culinary staff for our upcoming seasons.



   


MARY GROESSER

Although she grew up in Fort Myers Florida, Mary has lived in Jacksonville & Melbourne Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, and New York. She spent many years of her career living up north, but she will always consider herself a Floridian. She graduated with a BS degree in Business Communication and has over 25 years experience in the fields of marketing, advertising, public relations, and graphic design.

In her spare time Mary enjoys spinning, painting, fishing, hiking, hunting, reading, and gardening.

She joined the team of Countryside professionals in 2007 as our Director of Communications. She has elevated our community image with a new website, club brochures, and extensive promotional material. She looks forward to her continued work of enhancing our overall community communications.

Kevin grew up in Troy, Michigan. He has lived in Fort Myers, Florida for 28 years. He has over twenty five years of experience in Food and Beverage, most notably with The Colony Golf and Country Club, Sanibel Harbour Resort and Gateway Golf and Country Club.

Kevin's children are daughter Kaitlyn, 21 and Sam, 17. He enjoys golfing, working out and watching hockey. He looks forward to building upon the many successes within our food and beverage operation.

Jeff Jacob, Controller. Jeff has a Bachelor’s of Business of Administration degree from Western Michigan University with a major in accounting. Jeff also studied at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, and has over 20 years of professional accounting experience that includes previous stops at the Bureau of National Affairs, Kiplinger Washington Editors, and Clubessential.

Prior to moving to Naples, Jeff spent his professional career in the Washington DC area.

Growing up in beautiful Southwest Florida gave Lisa the opportunity to enjoy everything Naples has to offer! Lisa has a tenacious love for Naples. Her strong values made her decision easy to stay in her hometown and start a family. For many years, her parents owned and operated several retail stores on Fifth Avenue and Tin City, Naples in which she gained knowledge of the industry.

Lisa’s outgoing personality drove her to seek careers in customer service oriented positions. She graduated from several vocational programs; nail technician school, Certified Dental Assistance, and Cozmo Cosmetology School for hair.

She joined our Countryside staff in 2010 and held various club positions. More recently, her passion for the latest fashion trends in hair, nails, & clothes plus her many years of retail experience made her the perfect candidate as our Golf Shop Merchandiser. She feels at home working with her co-workers and management staff. Lisa is very ecstatic to assist our members and looks forward to continually giving excellent customer service to our residents in the pro shop.

Debbie was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, the place where her mother was born and raised. As a child she spent her summers in Gainesville, Florida where her father was born and raised.

In 1989 she began her career in the restaurant business and ventured to Countryside in 2004 as our Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. Over the past 10 years her professionalism and loyalty to Countryside and its membership is found to me remarkable. She has been very pleased to serve the Countryside residents and finds her experience to be amazing.

She and her husband have lived in Naples for 13 years. In her free time she enjoys her hobbies of trail riding, fishing, shelling and crafts.

Pamela’s experience encompasses roles in corporate America (McDonald’s Corporation, DDB Needham Worldwide), the private sector (Evergreen Consulting, Bonita Bay Club) and non-profit organizations (American Red Cross, Girl Scouts USA, Coweta County DFACS). Her expertise lies in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Strategic Planning, Marketing, Communications and PR. She is happiest when the work she is doing supports and enriches the lives of others. In every role, she emerges as a caring and compassionate leader who models excellence and continuous improvement.

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, she has lived in Colorado, Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Taiwan. In her free time, Pamela enjoys golf, community service and relaxing at our wonderful Southwest Florida beaches. Pamela joined Countryside in 2014.





STEPHANIE REEVES, PGA

Stephanie grew up in upstate New York. She played junior golf, high school golf, and collegiate golf in the Albany- Saratoga area. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree concentrated in Finance from Siena College, and shortly after she headed south to Florida. Initially moving south for a seasonal assistant golf professional position at Vanderbilt Country Club, she quickly realized that she loved the area and wanted to make Southwest Florida her permanent home. She worked at as Assistant Golf Professional at Hammock Bay, Bear’s Paw Country Club, Island Country Club and Countryside Golf and Country Club over the last decade. In that time, she earned her PGA Class A Membership. In 2013, Stephanie went on to continue her PGA education and became a Certified PGA Member, specializing in Golf Operations. This is a credential that roughly 3% of all PGA members have achieved. In 2014, Stephanie was hired by ForeGolf Partners into a duel position of General Manager and Director of Golf at River Hills Country Club, located east of Tampa. After almost one year in central Florida, she was delighted at the opportunity to come back to Countryside as Director of Golf. In 2017 Stephanie became a PGA Master Professional, this is the highest level of education the PGA offers, she is one of five women in the country to have earned this title.

Away from work, Stephanie enjoys golfing and socializing with friends, spending time at the beach, and cheering on her favorite New York sports teams.           






 

TARA SPARACIO

Tara grew up in Setauket, New York and moved to Naples 22 years ago. A former college athlete, she has not lost her love for fitness and exercise. After working in the Real Estate and Home Health Care fields, Tara started Dunatos Fitness and ran local boot camps for 4 years. She has her personal trainer certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She enjoys working with clients to help them reach their personal health and fitness goals.

Tara is excited to join the Countryside team as the Wellness Director and strives to help every member improve their fitness level, regardless of age, skill or limitation. Her goal is to encourage members while helping them to feel strong and confident in their ability to stay active and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.


 
 

J.D. VARON, CGCS

Golf Course Superintendent

J. D. moved to Naples in 1994 as the assistant superintendent at Wyndemere Country Club. He then became the superintendent at Imperial Golf Club’s West course, and later rebuilt the East course. He then became construction superintendent at Arrowhead Golf course and stayed for 2 years after completion. He accepted the position here at Countryside in November 1999.

He has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America for 22 years. On February 26, 2004 J. D. earned the designation of Certified Golf Course Superintendent for having met standards of proficiency through experience, education, testing and performance in the profession of golf course management. He is also a member of the Florida Golf Course Superintendent’s Association and earned a certificate for Best Management Practices. He is a member of the Florida Turf Grass Association, and has an A. S. Degree in Golf Course Operations. J. D. wants to use this knowledge to be a team leader, and a team player on Countryside’s Professional staff.
